After a festive opening by the fanfares, Director Ren%E9 H%FCsler addressed the guests with an inspiring speech. At the graduation ceremony of the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology, 306 participants received their Certificate of Advanced Studies diploma and 19 participants a Master of Advanced Studies diploma.
Director Ren%E9 H%FCsler’s speech was characterized by continuous further development: %ABWe are not only celebrating the completion of your further education, but also your personal and professional progress%BB. The graduates have looked beyond their own horizons, questioned things critically and acquired new ways of thinking.
They have shown that lifelong learning is not just a buzzword, but a lived reality.
Especially in the IT sector and in the field of digitalization, developments are constant and rapid. In order to meet this need, the Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology has continuously expanded its offering since 2016 and more than doubled the number of continuing education courses. Demand is and remains high, which speaks for the continued topicality and quality.
In conclusion, Ren%E9 H%FCsler emphasized the importance of the personal network that the participants have gained and expanded: %ABBBecause the people with whom you learn, discuss and sometimes suffer together - are often the ones with whom you achieve great things later on.%BB
Following the speech, the diplomas and certificates were presented to the graduates. At the same time, participants in continuing education were presented with the NextGen Leader Award.

In collaboration with the Digital Veterans Association, a jury of experts presented the NextGen Leader Award to an outstanding thesis. The award recognizes creative, innovative and socially relevant work that offers not only technical depth but also practical solutions to current challenges.The award went to Milorad Markovic, Ilona Lupart and Dominik Brem for their work %ABData-driven and application-oriented decision-making processes - Smart Building%BB. The outstanding transfer work was developed as part of the CAS Digital Transformation.
