The HES-SO Geneva has announced the arrival of Ms Maléna Bastien Masse , as associate professor and head of the Civil Engineering department.
With a doctorate in civil engineering from EPFL and many years of experience, Maléna specializes in the assessment and reinforcement of existing structures, as well as the reuse of load-bearing elements. In particular, she has contributed to the development of methods for the reuse of reinforced concrete elements, enabling the environmental impact of new constructions to be drastically reduced.
