URPP Evolution in Action Program Co-Manager The University Research Priority Program (URPP) "Evolution in Action: From Genomes to Ecosystems" is an interdisciplinary program of the University of Zurich (UZH). Understanding evolutionary mechanisms is important for both basic and applied aspects of biology and medicine. The URPP Evolution in Action brings together more than 100 scientists interested in evolutionary questions. It thus plays an important integrative role for diverse disciplines at the UZH.

Description Proactive communication with participating research groups (i.e. professors, postdocs, PhD students, administrative assistants) Writing of reports and other official documents Support and counseling for PhD students Organization of retreats, seminars, and meetings (including journalizing) Public outreach activities, including events and website management Planning and controlling of URPP finances Coordination of HR aspects with participating research groups Support of the URPP Directors, Steering Committee, and general secretarial duties

Requirements PhD or MSc in Natural Sciences, preferably Biology Practical experience in relevant scientific management positions or a demonstrated interest in managerial duties Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Solid command of MS-office programs. Knowledge of SAP is an asset Excellent command of English and German, both spoken and in writing. Please send your application documents in either English or German.
