Job Summary We are currently seeking a Senior Research Technician to perform sequential fluorescence in situ hybridization experiments and manage Drosophila stocks in the Cai Research group in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering. The successful candidate will join our team to work at the interface of cutting-edge spatial genomics methods and fundamental questions of neuroscience and cell biology. More information about the research can be found on the lab website. Job Duties Manage and maintain Drosophila stocks and perform genetic crosses. (50%) Process sample tissues and prepare reagents for in situ hybridization experiments, including the generation of hybridization probes via molecular cloning methods. (30%) Perform in situ hybridization reactions and image hybridized samples with single molecule microscopy. (20%) Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, bioengineering or related field. Minimum of four years of experience in biology or imaging. Ability to work both independently and as a team member. Excellent attention to detail, documentation and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Background in Drosophila genetics and neurobiology. Experience with project management. Required Documents Resume
