Project Manager (f/m) 80–100% for Safety Analyses of Deep Geological Repositories

Your future responsibilities will comprise project management related to the safety of deep geological repositories for radioactive waste as well as your active technical and editorial contribution to the Swiss safety case. This position includes projects on demonstration strategy and scenario development to provide the conceptional foundation for the demonstration procedure, for the safety-oriented optimisation of the repository concept and for the compilation of safety-oriented reports in German and English.

To fulfil this challenging task, you should have a university degree, preferably a doctorate, in engineering or natural sciences as well as several years of professional experiences in at least one of the following areas:

• safety analysis and demonstration
• sensitivity and uncertainty analyses
• conceptual and numerical modelling studies of multi-physical processes

In-depth knowledge of further relevant subject areas such as scenario development and FEP management, geochemical and radiological processes, the analysis of geoscientific data and relevant underground processes will be considered assets. You have a logical and structured mindset and excellent abstract thinking skills.

Previous experience in the independent compilation of technical-scientific reports and publications in German or English is a must. In addition, you appreciate cross-team and cross-project collaboration and are ready to take advantage of targeted training opportunities.
