Chapman University seeks applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor in (pediatric or adult) Neuropsychology at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Brain and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Psychology, in the Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, Chapman University, beginning August 2022.

Ph.D. from an accredited program in Psychology, clinical experience in pediatric or adult neuropsychology and evidence of excellence in research and teaching are required.

The successful candidate should have expertise in (pediatric or adult) neuropsychology, including a strong clinical experience and expertise in the domain of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Areas of research include, but are not limited to, clinical assessment of psychopathologies and personality, development, learning disabilities, philosophical and ethical aspects of treatment in clinical research, philosophy of science, interventions in the context of ASD, neuro-atypicality, and child-parent relationships. The successful candidate would possess meaningful experience in clinical psychology/neuropsychology including of child development (with at least 5 years of clinical experience), would be knowledgeable of different clinical assessment tools, such as the ADOS-2, ADI-R, Weschler Intellectual Tools, Bayley-4, NEPSY. The candidate should both demonstrate excellent skills in teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate in clinical neuropsychology.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain a rigorous and productive research program with an emphasis on obtaining extramural funding in the clinical neuropsychology.

The teaching load for this position is two undergraduate courses per semester with the possibility to fulfil a portion of the teaching load in the developing interdisciplinary master’s program in brain science.

In addition to graduate and postdoctoral students, the successful candidate will advise undergraduate students and supervise student research projects.

Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching, and service.
