  • At the Center for Technology Experience , we investigate the latest user experience approaches in different application fields.
  • Our research team investigates situation-oriented user experience aspects such as Automation Experience, Contextual Engagement, Behaviour Change, Experience Assessment and Modeling, Intelligent Experience Optimization, and Diversity Driven Design.
  • We support companies and the public sector with the latest scientific approaches and methods to design a unique user experience under special contextual conditions for their products, technologies, and services.


  • As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will support us in developing our digital Behaviour Change platform and some individual frontend parts.
  • After the initial requirements and state-of-the-art analysis, you will apply your architecture design and backend development skills to conceptualize and technically specify a modular, microservice-based backend platform. During the design phase, you will involve our long-standing development experts to help you to optimize the platform architecture towards different application areas.
  • As the key person in the development process, you will implement, maintain, extend and optimize the platform and ensure uptime utilizing the necessary server and cloud infrastructure. You will incorporate elaborated behavioral change and interaction models within new research projects and develop the necessary modules and microservices.
  • You will participate in international research and consortium meetings and support writing project documentation, research proposals, and publications.


  • You will advance your skills by becoming a project manager or senior engineer, visiting conferences, and starting your own research projects.
  • You will expand your knowledge and your skills by contributing to our ML and AI strategy.


Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
  • University degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering, Data Science, Media and Human-Centered Computing, Logic and Computation, or other related field of study
  • Practical experience in backend and microservice development
  • Very good knowledge in architecture design, frameworks and modules, and backend development
  • Ability to work in a team, willingness to work independently and responsibly
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, unconventional solutions, creativity, and visionary power
  • Very good English knowledge, both in spoken and written, German knowledge is an advantage

What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement is EUR 48.062,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions, individual training and career opportunities.
