Requirements: The applicant should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, engineering, biology, physics, or related areas, and be capable of coding or programming (e.g., R, Python, Matlab). Prior experience in next-generation sequencing data, bioinformatics software development, machine learning is a plus but not required.

Job Duties: Postdoctoral researcher position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Daifeng Wang in the Waisman Center and Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This new NIH-funded position will apply bioinformatics tools and machine learning methods to analyze single-cell omics data for understanding functional genomics in neurodevelopmental diseases (e.g., Down Syndrome). The selected candidates will work in an interdisciplinary environment and also collaborate with other labs in neuroscience, genetics, and stem cell biology.
