UW Continuum College (UWC2) has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time instructor for the Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) Certificate in Wetland Science & Management , specifically for the Wetland Law & Policy course which is taught in winter quarter. Instructors serve a key role in certificate programs, engaging with students, serving as subject matter experts, presenting learning content, and assessing whether learners have achieved course competencies. PCE students consistently say that the instructor is the single most important element of their course. Professional and Continuing Education Instructors...
The instructor for Wetland Law & Policy will provide 3 hours of teaching in-person per week (course class time, Thursday evening), plus preparation time, and provision of student assessment and feedback. Preparation time includes readiness to use UW online platforms and learning technologies as needed. An approximate average of 6 hours total per week is expected for preparation and teaching activities. Additional time will be needed for student communications, team meetings and program staff consultations. PCE courses are generally 10 weeks in duration and align with the UW academic quarter calendar.
