Grant DescriptionThe successful applicant will contribute to ongoing research, present research findings to faculty and students, and assist with the mentoring of students in the Faculty of Public Affairs at Carleton University. The applicant should indicate one or more of the 12 academic units of particular interest ( ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcarleton.ca%2Ffpa%2Facademic-units&module=jobs&id=2258019" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcarleton.ca%2Ffpa%2Facademic-units&module=jobs&id=2258019" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://carleton.ca/fpa/academic-units ). The Faculty of Public Affairs will provide office space and the opportunity to be involved in research projects.The Faculty of Public Affairs has over 200 faculty members with close to 50 hired in the past five years. This research-intensive faculty is home to 12 Research Chairs and a combined $8.5 million in total research funding in the most recent fiscal year. The only faculty of its kind in Canada, the Faculty of Public Affairs is uniquely suited to its location in Canada’s capital city, which allows for strong connections to the Canadian government, NGOs and embassies while also having an extensive network of international research collaborations. The Faculty of Public Affairs has a suite of Master’s and PhD programs offering opportunities for interaction with graduate students working on cutting edge research. Carleton University is a research-intensive comprehensive university with over 32,000 students situated on a beautiful campus close to downtown Ottawa.
