Senior R&D Engineer for laser technologies

Description

With your strong experience in atomic clocks, lasers and laser-based systems, you will significantly
contribute to the development of industrial and academic projects in the field of atomic clocks and laser-
based instrumentation. You will also participate in project acquisition.

Your responsibilities
  • Project execution with technical work including simulations and laboratory work
  • Contribution to the launch of new activities through your scientific and technical creativity
  • Active participation in the acquisition of projects including:
    • Opportunities identification
    • Market knowledge
    • Technical state of the art awareness
    • Devising technical solutions for the customer
    • Proposing innovating solutions
    • Writing proposals

Requirements

You are a motivated Engineer with either a MS or a PhD in in Physics or a relevant domain with a proven experience in a similar field. Working in a multidisciplinary team has been one of your motivations. In addition, you bring the following knowledge:
  • Lasers and laser-based systems
  • Laser stabilization and metrology
  • Atomic clocks
  • Nonlinear optics
  • TIme & frequency metrology
  • Optical spectroscopy
  • Design, simulation (Python or other relevant software)
  • System integration skills

Interpersonal skills
  • Open-minded attitude, proactive and considered as a creative thinker
  • Natural curiosity that enables you to manage multidisciplinary projects
  • Team player with an excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact constructively with our
    colleagues and partners
