The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine (ISPM) of Bern performs research in a range of disciplines relevant to public health (?url=www.ispm.unibe.ch&module=jobs&id=2326914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">?url=www.ispm.unibe.ch&module=jobs&id=2326914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.ispm.unibe.ch). Groups cut across divisions, facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to research in the fields of clinical epidemiology, social and behavioral health, biostatistics, and international and environmental health. The ISPM is highly reputed for its expertise in health effects of environmental exposures, the spread of infectious disease, and the health of vulnerable groups including children and the elderly. Research scientist (80-100%) The HIV, Hepatitis and TB Research Group in partnership with the Cancer Research Group is looking for a highly motivated research scientist who will fulfill a dual role. The scientist will on one hand (up to 50%) develop and manage an implementation science study on differentiated HIV care delivery in Zimbabwe within a large international consortium (?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.iedea-sa.org%2F&module=jobs&id=2326914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.iedea-sa.org%2F&module=jobs&id=2326914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.iedea-sa.org/). On the other hand, the scientist will support various epidemiological projects related to cancer among people living with HIV in Southern Africa. The successful candidate will conduct the projects in collaboration with other members of the two research groups in Bern and members of the IeDEA consortium in Southern Africa. The post starts in September 2022 earliest or upon availability and is for 2 years, with a possibility for extension. | |
