For its Nursing Department, the Geneva School of Health Sciences, HES-SO Geneva is advertising for the position of Associate Professor UAS (University of Applied Sciences) in the field of Disabilities 80% occupation The Geneva School of Health Sciences (HEdS-Geneva), part of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) is the largest health school in French-speaking Switzerland and the only one to bring together five departments: Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Midwifery, Nursing and Medical Radiology Technology. The HEdS -Geneva trains highly qualified healthcare professionals capable of meeting the demands of today’s and tomorrow’s health care practice and offers a wide range of continuing education programs. Along with professional education, the HEdS-Geneva conducts high- level research and provides acknowledged health services. | |
DescriptionThe HEdS is looking for an Associate Professor UAS specialized in the field of Disabilities. Working in a dynamic and stimulating environment, the candidate will develop clinical research projects, and teach mainly in the Department of Nursing and in continuing education.

RequirementsYou possess a PhD (or equivalent) in the field of Disabilities , you hold a Bachelor’s (BSc) or a Master’s degree (MSc) in health and you have professional experience with people with D isabilities (children and/or adults). You are familiar with disability-related health issues and able to relate them to the Swiss disability policy and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. You have acknowledged expertise with assessment scales and interventions for this population.
Motivated by a scientific career at a University of Applied Sciences, you have proven skills in writing funding applications and obtained several important grants in your name. You have proven experience in leading research teams and possess a record of international and national publications. You exhibit good writing skills in English. You manifest a strong interest in interdisciplinary work in collaboration with field partners. You have an open, dynamic personality, you possess good integration and adaptation skills, and you enjoy working in a team. | |
