The School of Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) at EPFL invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions in Experimental Physical or Analytical Chemistry within the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (ISIC). Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, the development of new methods for characterization of molecules or materials, potentially in relation to applications in renewable energy conversion and storage, sustainable chemical production, or the development of therapeutics. Depending on the research orientation or needs, the laboratories of the chair will be either located at the Lausanne campus or in Sion at the Valais campus of EPFL. Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. EPFL is a leading university with strong emphasis on basic sciences, engineering and life sciences. As a faculty member of the School of Basic Sciences, the successful candidate is expected to initiate and develop a creative research program at the forefront of the discipline.
