The Research Promotion Service of the University of Fribourg advises and supports researchers in obtaining third-party funding and is the contact for all research-related issues at the university.

We are looking for a new member for our team who will be in charge of university rankings, starting immediately or by appointment. This will be a newly created position.


Your tasks:

  • You will help develop the processes for the participation of the University of Fribourg in rankings.
  • You will collect data from other services of the University and provide it for various rankings.
  • You are the expert and contact person for all ranking-related questions and work in close contact with the faculties and various services and units of the university.
  • You are the contact person for ORCID at the University of Fribourg and support researchers in creating and updating their ORCID.
  • You participate in internal projects of the Research Promotion Service, and support your colleagues, if need be, in advising researchers.


  • University degree (master’s or doctorate)
  • Ideally some experience in the field of ranking / indicators / quality measurement
  • Ideally a good knowledge of the Swiss higher education system
  • Good IT skills, affinity with data analysis
  • You can work independently and display a high level of initiative and flexibility
  • You are sociable and are able to work as a team
  • Native speaker of German, French or English, with very good knowledge of the other languages
