The Research Promotion Service of the University of Fribourg advises and supports researchers in obtaining third-party funding and is the point of contact for all research-related issues at the university.

We are looking for a new member for our team who will be in charge of advising researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences, starting immediately or upon agreement.

Description

Your tasks:

  • Informing and advising researchers on obtaining third-party funding acquisition (e.g. SNSF, US grants, foundations) through various communication channels: bilateral meetings, email, social media and website.
  • Organization of information events
  • Responsibility for the internal newsletter and social media channels
  • Scientific and administrative support in the preparation of research proposals
  • Participation in the service’s internal projects

You will work in close contact with researchers, especially researchers from the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Economics.

Requirements

  • PhD, preferably in the Humanities or Social Sciences.
  • Ideally, a research background and experience in research management as well as with obtaining third-party funding.
  • Knowledge of the Swiss higher education system.
  • Mother tongue preferably French, with good English and German fluency.
  • High level of motivation and flexibility.
  • Social competence, customer-oriented perspective, and ability to work in a team.
