The School of Actuarial Science (école d’actuariat), established in 1988, is unique in Canada and offers master's and doctoral programs in actuarial science, in addition to the bachelor’s program. It is a designated Center of excellence of the Society of Actuaries and its courses are recognized under the University Accreditation Program of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. The School enjoys an enviable reputation for excellence in research, and the quality of its students and graduates is well recognized. The School has a significant fund, the Chair of Actuarial Science, which financially supports research projects and collaboration with scientific and professional organizations, and which also provides student scholarships at all levels. Job Description The School of Actuarial Science invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in actuarial science. The applicant should have solid research experience in actuarial science. The successful applicant will have to develop a funded research program, supervise the research of master’s and doctoral students, as well as undergraduate research projects, offer quality instruction at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, contribute to the evolution of undergraduate and graduate programs, and to the establishment of continuing education activities.
