Advanced Practice Provider- Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, UWMC Montlake School / Campus / College: School of Medicine Organization: Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery Title: Teaching Associate Advanced Practice Provider- Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, UWMC Montlake Position DescriptionThe University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking two full-time ARNP or PAs at the rank of Teaching Associate. The Advanced Practice Providers (ARNP or PA) deployed to UWMC Montlake are members of a tertiary care Otolaryngology-HNS team that includes 14 attending physicians, 25 residents, 7 APPS, as well as audiologists, speech language pathologists and over 50 support staff.These roles will provide perioperative support and continuity of care across all Otolaryngology sub-specialties with a 60/40 split between inpatient and clinic responsibilities. Clinically, the applicants will be responsible for providing services independently and collaboratively in the perioperative environment including initial and ongoing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patient’s medical status as well as the opportunity to provide first surgical assist. This is a Teaching Associate faculty position in the Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
