Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute Faculty of Science University of Copenhagen The Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, invites applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship focused on developing solid-state quantum technologies for practical quantum education and quantum workforce training. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our newly established advanced quantum training lab and participate in projects that offer opportunities for innovation and career development at the intersection of state-of-art research and education. Applicants should preferably have a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics or experimental solid-state quantum information science, with experience in nanofabrication processes. The candidate will be responsible for driving and managing the project and interacting with companies and other universities. Ideally, the candidates will have an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for education. The project combines device design (semiconducting and superconducting quantum devices), nanofabrication, low-temperature measurements using cryofree dilution refrigerators, and thorough experimental documentation. Scientific writing and communication will be in English. The role may include grant application writing and fund raising, visits to the international partner universities in Europe and the US, conferences, and various other opportunities. The position is open from 01 February 2025 or as soon as possible, and runs for 1 year, with a possibility of extending the contract further.
