The academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in either in the Clinical Track or Tenure Track commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for university sponsorship for employment authorization. Patient care will occur at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa River Landing, and/or the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center. Education Requirement: Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent. Required Qualifications: Candidates must show completion of an ACGME accredited residency and fellowship program. Certifications: A board certification/eligibility in rheumatology is required. Desirable Qualifications: Completion of a vasculitis fellowship is desired as well as an interest in developing a clinical scientist career. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment is preferred.
