We are looking for support at the The newly founded WU Competence Center for Applied AI and Scientific Computing at the Vienna University of Economics and Business is a cross-disciplinary institution, with a founding team of researchers from the Departments of Information Systems and Operations Management; Finance, Accounting and Statistics; and Marketing. It aims to create a space at WU where AI researchers and practitioners come together to create innovative AI solutions, transfer research insights to practical applications and evaluate AI applications. The new Competence Center will work closely with academic and service units at WU to establish the necessary infrastructure and procedures for productive AI application in research, teaching, and administration. The Competence Center will also organize courses, workshops and consultations on AI projects. After 3 years, the Competence Center will be evaluated. Depending on the outcome of the evaluation, extending the contract may be possible. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized and productive person, who will take the operational lead in building the Competence Center with us. In terms of own research activities, we particularly welcome ideas how to apply and extend own research to address challenges in AI applications as encountered in the context of the Competence Center.
