The Honda Research Institute Europe is working at the cutting edge of scientific research towards artificial intelligence, robotics, and intelligent systems. Our vision is a society in which humans and intelligent cyber-physical systems raise and support each other in accord with nature. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented researcher m/f sharing our spirit of turning pioneering scientific research into groundbreaking innovations. If you want to contribute your ideas for making this a reality, join us at our institute at Offenbach am Main, Germany . The engineering design process relies heavily on various numerical tools which support the human engineer in the simulation of a generated system or in the decision-making process. Still current computational tools offer only weak support in early and conceptually oriented design phases driven by human abilities such as creativity, for the development of new ideas and solutions. Artificial intelligence techniques can support the engineer by proposing novel combinations of familiar ideas and concepts, performing active exploration of design spaces and by employing transformations in order to open up new concepts. Using AI methods and evolutionary computation, we want to facilitate the search for innovative solutions for technical problems in a cooperative engineering system. | |
