AgroSustain is an AgriTech start-up developing novel organic treatments against
plant fungal pathogens (?url=www.agrosustain.ch&module=jobs&id=923653" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.agrosustain.ch) aiming to reduce food wastage and
promote sustainable agriculture.


Job Summary

As part of the Research & Development team, you will be in charge of building
AgroSustain product pipeline and process technologies by applying your
functional knowledge, skills and experience from inception through
industrialization, rolling out breakthrough products, ensuring food safety and
regulatory compliance within timelines and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Design, implement and manage R&D projects according to company product/process development objectives, with focus on developing alternative treatments against plant pathogens.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical & scientific support to operations with effective and sustainable solutions, closely working with leading research institutions.
  • Know-How: Monitor scientific developments, build and maintain expertise in the area of crop protection for new innovative concepts, technologies, and processes.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • MSc or PhD in Biochemistry or Pharmacology with strong background in Plant Pathology or Microbiology
  • Strong interest in applied research
  • Experience in Microscopy and Molecular biology is a strong plus
  • Industry experience is an advantage
Other Requirements

  • Proactive player with entrepreneurial mindset, fast to adapt
  • Excellent interpersonal/teamwork skills and a good sense of the business-technical interface
  • Problem solving skills using root-cause analysis
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English; French and German are a plus
