System Architect R&D

For our competitive R&D Competence Center in Mägenwil we are seeking an experienced

System Architect R&D .

You will play a key role in our team in the development of highly specialised communication solutions for security organisations. Your main focus will be the architecture and design of products for mission-critical data and voice communications, involving such areas as All-IP, IPv6, heterogeneous networks, Ad-Hoc/Mesh Networking, decentralised services, (Peer-to-Peer) Overlay Networks, Zero-Configuration and Linux/OSS.

You will also act as the technical lead in development projects and work closely with internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and experience in the fields of system architecture and process-based software development. You must have in-depth knowledge of IP protocols (routing, networking) and their practical application. You must also be familiar with at least one of the following standards: SIP, OSPF/BGP, and WLAN. Practical experience in software development (C, C++, Python) using Linux for communication systems complete your profile. You must be a skilled negotiator and a solution-oriented team player with the ability to coordinate your work with specialists in different areas.
