The exhibition, inspired by themes proposed by marine biologists, will go to Austria in September and to Barcelona in October.

The exhibition ASTER+S ART ^ SEALIFE, which brings together several disciplines, opens its doors between June 19 and July 2 at the Fundación de Aparejadores, to reflect on how citizens can contribute to better understand and care for marine ecosystems affected by the impact of human beings. The exhibition begins in Seville and moves to the Netherlands in September and Barcelona in October.

The project, of a multidisciplinary nature, was born from the SciArt collaboration between the ASTER+S research team of the University of Seville and the Institut de Cičncies del Mar of the CSIC, together with some invited participants from the Netherlands and Barcelona. Part of the eco-Sciart methodology that supports the essence of transdisciplinary co-creation, which is based on the enormous power of contemporary art to arouse curiosity and critical thinking through artworks conceived and developed through "cross-pollination" between creative people (artists, engineers, mathematicians, psychologists...). To this end, the works have been inspired by themes proposed by marine biologists from the Institute of Marine Sciences of Barcelona (CSIC).

The team has focused on understanding how marine life below the surface is developing under the influence of climate change, and with the added dimension of citizen science practices as the core modus operandi of the EMBIMOS (MINKA) research group. Citizens contributing to the enormous task of discovering new species and monitoring the impact of climate change in a much broader and deeper way, to better understand and influence decision making with the aim of protecting ecosystems or at least mitigating the impact of the Anthropocene.

The event, which opens on June 19 at 6 p.m. at the Fundación Aparejadores, will follow an exhibition itinerary that begins in Seville in June, the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz (Austria) in September, and the ICM in Barcelona in October.
