15th edition of the ’Faites de la science’ competition

On this occasion, Aix-Marseille Université welcomes on the Saint-Jérôme site about a hundred students from secondary schools from all over the Academy. Faites de la Science competition:

At the end of the day, 1 of the 7 projects presented by the students will be selected by a jury of researchers to represent the Academy of Aix-Marseille at the national final of the competition "Faites de la science" on Friday, May 20 in Amiens (University of Picardie). Organized by the Conference of Deans and Directors of Scientific Departments (CDUS), this competition aims to develop students’ taste for experimentation.

Supported by the science faculty of Aix-Marseille Université and the scientific and technical culture unit, this day is supported by the Rectorat de l’Académie d’Aix Marseille, the Délégation Régionale à la Recherche et à la Technologie (Regional Delegation for Research and Technology), the Conseil Départemental des Bouches-du-Rhône (Departmental Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône), the CNRS, the Inserm, the IRD and Avignon Université.

Program :

09:30-10:30 am: welcome of the classes and setting up of the stands

10:30-12:00 pm: visit of the stands by the scientific jury

12:00-1:30 pm: lunch break

1:30-3:00 pm: conference/scientific show for the students

3:00-4:00 pm: prize-giving and selection of a project for the national final

4:00 pm: snack
