From 7 to 10 May the spring concerts of the Ghent University Student Ensembles will take place. They will again give the best they have. Come and listen to them!
GUSO - L’Oiseau de Feu - 7 and 10 May, 20:00, Christus Koningkerk and Bijloke
Spanish and Russian inspiration
The Ghent University Symphony Orchestra will perform a fiery program inspired by Spanish feistiness and Russian passion in works such as Rhapsody Espagnole by Maurice Ravel and Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite 1919 . For an instant, you might even imagine yourself in France because of the enchanting voice of our soloist Marion Bauwens in Joseph Canteloube’s Chants d’Auvergne.
A new note this concert series is the option "benefit ticket". Hereby you support one of the three charities that we as an orchestra selected by buying a ticket at a slightly higher price. That additional amount will fully go to the organization of your choice. Show your love and contribute your bit, after all, you will get a sounding concert in return.
You can see the GUSO in action on 7 May in the Christus Koningkerk and on 10 May in de Bijloke Concert hall, both at 20:00.and tickets
