Dr Fenne Pinkster (GPIO) has been appointed as a member of the Programme Council of the Centre for Urban Inequality. The centre is a collaboration between the Municipality of Amsterdam and four knowledge institutions: UvA, VU, HvA and InHolland.

They aim is to generate new research insights into the persistent and cumulative nature of inequality in Amsterdam, and thereby to contribute to policy practices that can address these challenges. Pinkster will strengthen the Programme Council with her expertise in spatial inequalities, urban marginality and neighborhood effects. She succeeds Prof. Herman van de Werfhorst, who co-initiated the centre.
