I studied psychology in Kiel and did my doctorate there at the University Hospital from 2007 to 2010. Afterwards, I came to Leipzig University Hospital for a postdoctoral stay in Dorothee Saur's research group. In 2013, I was appointed to the junior professorship in Biological Psychology in Kiel. In 2015, I moved to the Max Planck Institute for Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig to the department of Neuropsychology of Angela D. Friederici. I led the research group -Modulation of Language Networks- there until 2019. In 2019, I was appointed to an independent research group leader position under the Lise-Meitner Excellence Program of the Max Planck Society. This was followed by a call to the University of Leipzig in 2022. What are your research interests, what fascinates you about it?
