The University of Münster welcomes 270 international exchange students for the new winter semester, 150 of whom have already arrived in September. The International Office provided information about studying and living in Münster in a digital welcome event. In the coming days, further event formats will take place to get to know the place of study. The majority of the so-called incoming students take part in the Erasmus exchange programme of the European Union. Some have come from non-European countries to study at Münster University for one or two semesters. The majority of the exchange students this year come from Spain. Until lectures start on the 11th of October, most of them are attending an intensive language course at the Language Centre.

In addition to the exchange students, almost 300 international students start in the winter semester and complete their entire Bachelor's, Master's or state examination programme at Münster University. In addition to a welcome event, various information and orientation offers will also be made for them - such as a city rally. Many of them are still in their home country and have to wait for their visa. Through the digital and hybrid get-to-know-you meetings they can already participate in many events and get to know their fellow students virtually.

As part of the "Buddy Programme", over 200 WWU students support all international students, especially in getting to know the university and the city.
