This latest update (5 June) is for students admitted to a degree programme at Lund University, starting in autumn 2014.
1. Mentor programme – This is consistently rated as one of the best parts of arrival by international students and is a great way to make friends. You can still apply before 12 June to ensure you are included in a mentor group – the link to apply is at the end of the email sent to all admitted students on 28 April.
2. Swedish language classes – Only students coming for a 1 year degree programme need to sign up in advance for the “Introductory Swedish Class.” An email with the application link will be sent to 1-year degree students after 15 June. The deadline to apply will be 30 June. Students coming for a 2 year degree programme do not sign up for Swedish classes until you are here in Sweden.
3. Tuition fee invoices – Invoices are available in the student portal. As soon as you have paid the first instalment of the tuition fee, you can make a complete online residence permit application. The deadline for the tuition fee payment is 15 June. Note that partial LU Global scholarship students receive an invoice for the balance of the first instalment. SI scholarship recipients and LU Global 100% scholarship students do not receive an invoice. You can apply for your residence permit now.
4. Residence permit - insurance and questions. It should be enough to simply refer to the FAS+ policy and upload the FAS+ terms and conditions. For the
