Annual Homecoming festivities display CMU pride

Carnegie Mellon University’s 2021 Homecoming brought Tartans past and present home to watch CMU defeat Washington & Jefferson College 27-11. Community members were invited to tailgate and participate in a myriad of activities, including student-led performances, pumpkin carving, food trucks, inflatables and more. Paul Gerlach, who recently retired after 38 years as director of the Kiltie Band , was honored during the game’s coin toss and given a chair at halftime. And the weather was perfect for Buggy ’s Mini Raceday, which saw teams compete in a special Homecoming race.
