The work is the result of a grant for introduction research initiation at the University of Valencia and deals with European regulations on this matter and the applicable Spanish and European legal regimes.
The work has been carried out in the Department of Administrative Law and will analyse both the State Ports and the State Attorney’s Office positions, which considers the impact statement made prior to the start of the first phase of the works, as well as the position of different groups of citizens who have been fighting it.
Specifically, the conference will address the European legal framework and the requirements arising from the relevant European Directive, as interpreted by the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. This offers interesting precedents to defend a greater demand regarding these environmental impact analyses of what the State Administration is applying in the case of Valencia.
