University offers helping hand to graduate job-seekers

Out-of-work graduates are being invited by the University of Plymouth to a special event aimed at helping them to assess their career options, their development needs and to find a job!

The event – 'Graduates into Work' – will provide attendees with an opportunity to view and apply for current graduate job vacancies, access career advice, find out about business start-up support and learn about postgraduate study and the alumni programme.

Designed to be a ‘drop-in session’, Graduates into Work will be held on Thursday 29 April, between 3.00pm and 6.00pm, in the University's new Gateway employability facility within the Roland Levinsky Building.

Event organiser Emma Wright, of the University’s Enterprise Solutions team, said: "We want this to be an informal way for graduates to come and see some of the fantastic opportunities that we have to offer.

“Right across the South West peninsula we are working with employers who are looking to employ our graduates and are currently recruiting for a number of positions.

“Through our careers service we also run workshops that are designed to enhance employability, and there are business start up and postgraduate study options as well."

The event is supported by the University's Careers and Employability Service, Alumni Association, Postgraduate Study, Gradsouthwest and Enterprise Solutions.
