Centre Administration Officer
Position Description Classification: ANU Officer 5 (Administration) Salary package: $87,570 - $95,530 per annum plus 17% superannuation Terms: Full time, Continuing (contingent funded) This position is continuing (contingent funded) . The funding that supports this project has an expected end date of September 2030. Position overview Within the ANU College of Law, Governance and Public Policy, the Centre will play a strategic role in promoting a national collaboration on Indigenous economic empowerment through economic and fiscal policy design and advocacy, translational research, cross sector partnerships, and education and professional development. Working alongside First Nations, governments and industry, the Centre seeks to move beyond problem diagnosis and focus on collaborative actions that further Indigenous economic self-determination and support Indigenous peoples to sustain their unique rights, cultures and connections to the Country. The ANU College of Law, Governance and Public Policy (CLGP) is a progressive and newly established College that brings together four world-leading academic schools dedicated to shaping the future of law, governance, regulation, policy and population health. The Position As the Centre Administration Officer, you will play an important role in the efficient operations of the Centre. Reporting to the Centre Manager the Centre Administration Officer will take a hands-on approach supporting finance and procurement processes, HR and recruitment administration, meeting and event logistics, travel and visitor coordination, records management, and compliance with ANU policies and procedures. The role liaises with external partners and visitors (including First Nations organisations, government, and industry) and represents the Centre with professionalism, cultural integrity and service focus. The ideal candidate will be an effective administrator with experience in administrative coordination within a complex environment (tertiary sector desirable), strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, exercise sound judgement and initiative, and follow established procedures while identifying improvements. As well high-level interpersonal and written communication skills, with a customer-service mindset and the ability to liaise effectively across ANU divisions and with external stakeholders in a culturally diverse environment.
