zunächst befristet für die Dauer von drei Jahren, mit der Option auf Verlängerung, zu besetzen. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).

Das Aufgabengebiet umfasst die Unterstützung von Lehrveranstaltungen der Abteilung Accounting & Sustainability Reporting sowie die Mitarbeit an Forschungsprojekten der Abteilung. Es erwartet Sie ein internationales, dynamisches Team in der Abteilung Accounting & Sustainability Reporting mit fünf Professor*innen, welches Fragestellungen im Bereich Financial, Managerial und Sustainability Reporting untersucht. Selbstbestimmte Forschung mit dem Ziel der Promotion ist gegeben und wird ausdrücklich unterstützt.

Es wird eine verantwortungsvolle und interessante Tätigkeit mit sehr guten Weiterbildungs- und Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten geboten, insbesondere durch die Teilnahme an Doktorandenkursen sowie die Möglichkeit zur Präsentation eigener Forschung auf internationalen Konferenzen.

Einstellungsvorau­ssetzungen sind:

• ein mit sehr gutem Erfolg abgeschlossenes wissenschaftliches Hochschulstudium (Diplom/Master) in einem wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Studiengang, idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt im Accounting oder Finance
• sehr gute quantitative Fähigkeiten und Kenntnisse im Bereich Accounting
• ein ausgeprägtes Interesse an empirischer Forschung
• sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
• Kenntnisse in MS-Office und wünschenswert Kenntnisse in den für die Forschungsmethode relevanten Analysemethoden sowie relevanter Software (z. B. statistische Datenanalyse/Ökonometrie, Stata, R, Python)
• Flexibilität, Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit sowie ein hohes Maß an Selbstmotivation
• Interesse an (internationalen) Konferenzteilnahmen, Forschungsaufenthalten im Ausland und Forschungskooperationen

initially for a fixed term of three years, with the option of extension. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement applicable to Goethe University (TV-G-U).

Your responsibilities will include teaching activities by the Accounting & Sustainability Reporting Department and contributing to the department’s research projects. You will join an international, dynamic team in the Accounting & Sustainability Reporting Department, which consists of five professors and focuses on issues related to financial, managerial, and sustainability reporting. Independent research aimed at earning a doctoral degree is encouraged and explicitly supported.

The requirements are:

• a successfully completed academic university degree (diploma/master) in business or economics, ideally with a focus on accounting or finance
• strong quantitative skills and knowledge of accounting
• a keen interest in empirical research
• excellent English language skills
• proficiency in MS-Office and, preferably, knowledge of analytical methods relevant to the research methodology as well as relevant software (e. g., statistical data analysis/econometrics, Stata, R, Python)
• flexibility, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a high degree of self-motivation
• interest in participating in (international) conferences, research stays abroad, and research collaborations
