Within the Collaborative Research Center Transregio 277 - Additive Manufacturing in Construction (AMC; ?url=https%3A%2F%2Famc-trr277.de%2F&module=jobs&id=3219849" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">?url=https%3A%2F%2Famc-trr277.de%2F&module=jobs&id=3219849" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://amc-trr277.de/), we developed the AMC Edu:Lab. AMC investigates innovative 3D printing methods, materials, and designs to promote sustainability in construction. The AMC Edu:Lab is a mobile learning space that engages youth and the public through tangible 3D-printing experiences with clay. Through this initiative, participants develop digital design skills, learn about transformative and sustainable construction techniques, and foster a sense of belonging in STEM fields.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled student assistant to visualize and develop future iterations of the AMC Edu:Lab design. You will also contribute to our wide-scale visual presentation. Specific tasks include:
- Create 3D visual renders of the AMC Edu:Lab’s mobile learning space and proposed future iterations.
- Prototyping hands-on 1:1 scale design solutions for the AMC Edu:Lab.
- Design visual communications, contributing ideas for improvements, usability, and aesthetics.
Requirements
- Background in industrial design, interaction design, graphic design, and related fields.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and digital design software, as well as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Interest in education and learning sciences.
- High proficiency in German and English.
