Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?The Urology Unit at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery focuses on mainly on clinical epidemiological research on the etiology, prognosis, treatment evaluation in prostate cancer research. We have a strong methodological background in clinical epidemiology and research using large clinical databases, healthcare and population registers. Description of the subject areaThe ProMort research program is an international, multi-disciplinary project building on extensive prior work, including two case-control studies -ProMort 1 and ProMort 2 within Sweden’s National Prostate Cancer Register. The aim is to use these data to identify and validate novel molecular, histopathological, and clinical prognostic factors, ultimately combining them into a new prognostic tool. Your missionWe are recruiting a post doc, who has a genuine interest for - and experience from - working with large clinical data bases and data analysis. The applicant will join a well-funded research group that works on Prostate cancer research. The position is a 2-year fixed-term position with the possibility of extension. As a post doc you will lead projects relating to ProMort. In this role you will:

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage.
