£70,000 research award for Sussex scientist. The Leverhulme Trust has awarded David Seery, Lecturer in Mathematics & Physics, a prestigious Philip Leverhulme Prize for his work on cosmology and the very early Universe. These prizes, worth £70,000 each, are awarded to "outstanding scholars who have made a substantial and recognised contribution to their particular field of study, recognised at an international level, and where the expectation is that their greatest achievement is yet to come."
