ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Chubb has congratulated all 200 Future Fellows, announced today, but especially the 25 from The Australian National University. The Future Fellowships program, administered by the Australian Research Council (ARC), aims to promote research in areas of national importance by giving grants to the country's best and brightest mid-career researchers. The awards were announced today by Senator Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. This year, 25 researchers from ANU have been announced as Future Fellows, and they will receive funding of $17,289,410. 'I would like to congratulate our 25 new Future Fellows. They are a great source of pride to the whole ANU community,' he said.  'This is an important scheme and one that helps us support our early career researchers. They are critical to our future.
