ANU campus from the air
ANU has ranked 66th in the world in the latest Academic Ranking of World Universities. The University ranks 28th in Physics, 37th in the broad subject field of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, as well as coming in the 51-75 group in both Life an agricultural Sciences and Social Sciences. ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young said that he was pleased by the result. "While rankings are imperfect and tend to jump around year-to-year, they do give us a sense of how we sit amongst our peers globally. It is great to see ANU, as a relatively small institution, continue to sit amongst the best in the world. It's a real testament to the quality of ANU people that we rank strongly."
