ANU Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Chubb AC has been named ACT Australian of the Year 2011.
Professor Chubb was presented with the award at a ceremony on Tuesday night at Parliament House, Canberra by ACT Chief Minister Jon Stanhope. He was given the award in recognition for his lifetime contribution to tertiary education, its governance and policy.
