Athletes aim high in Delhi
In all, 34 athletes, coaches and sports staff with links to the University will participate at the Games. Of this number, 33 are part of the Scotland squad, while one features for the Isle of Man. The athletes competing hope to add to the 25 medals won at previous Commonwealth Games by competitors with links to the University. The Games take place between 3 - 14 October 2010. After Delhi, the next Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow in 2014. The University has always enjoyed a strong representation at Commonwealth Games but this is our largest contingent to date, which is marvellous and testimony to our commitment to performance sport. Jim Aitken MBE Director for Sport and Exercise - Swimming for success.
