Brunei Games 2009 at The University of Nottingham
PA 70/09 Young people from Brunei will converge on The University of Nottingham on March 22 for a celebration of sporting talent. Hundreds of Bruneian students based at universities all over the UK will gather to take part in the Brunei Easter Games, with hundreds more expected to attend as supporters and volunteer helpers. The University has one of the largest Brunei student populations in the UK and hosts the Games every year to promote sportsmanship and highlight the strong links that exist between Brunei and Nottingham. Sponsors of this year's event include the British High Commission in Brunei. Students will compete for glory in indoor football, netball and badminton during a full day of tournaments that will culminate in the awarding of trophies in each event. The Games are held in and around The University of Nottingham Sports Centre, on University Park, from 8.30am to 8.30pm.
