Durham's position in the Times Higher Education (THE) Europe Teaching Ranking follows last month's announcement that the University has been recognised with a Gold Award in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). Both accolades come as Durham University strives to deliver world-leading teaching, making significant investment in new facilities and innovative teaching practices. THE Europe Teaching Ranking This is the first year in which the THE data team has created a teaching-led ranking for European countries. The ranking has been designed to give deeper insights into global higher education, with indicators focused around four core performance pillars: resources, engagement, outcomes and environment. In particular, the league table draws on data from the European Student Survey with questions around student recommendation, collaboration in learning, and engagement in the learning process.
