Exhibition at the ENSA Paris-Belleville

The Ecoparc district developed near the train station of Neuchâtel by Bauart, of which Professor Emmanuel Rey of the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) is a partner, is one of a number of projects presented at the exhibition entitled "The resources of architecture for a sustainable city". This exhibition is held from 12th January to 10th February 2012 at the ' Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-Belleville ' (ENSAPB). ' The city is incarnated in its architecture: no architecture, no city. No sustainable architecture, no sustainable city. The main objectives of this exhibition are to address the sustainable city as a result of a transformation in the practice of urban and architectural design, create synergies between research and operational worlds, substitute the image of bucolic green architecture by an image marked by urban sustainability and analyze the fact of taking into account these preoccupations in the teaching of architecture ' explains Pierre Lefèvre, initiator and exhibition curator. The projects that were selected were realized in England, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, The Netherlands and Switzerland. Fruit of innovative approaches of sustainability, they offer an overview of European practices reflecting a pioneer spirit and an extended creativity.
