The first cohort of 153 students have graduated from the innovative ANU-ACSC Military Studies Program. The program is a partnership between The Australian National University and the Australian Command and Staff College. Its purpose is to help create the next generation of military leaders by offering a fully integrated course to obtain a world leading mid-career military qualification for the Australian Defence Force. The program was developed by an academic team from the University's Strategic and Defence Studies Centre and the ACSC military teaching staff Under the program, students can study a Masters, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Military Studies. Courses are delivered by foremost Australian and international academics, military personnel and public servants. The graduation ceremony was presided over by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, her Excellency, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, CVO.
