Get involved with Durham University's broad education offer
DURHAM University is inviting more local residents to take advantage of its broad education offer, from lectures to language courses; exhibitions to events. Education is central to the University's purpose, with nearly 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate Durham students based across Durham City and Queen's Campus, in Stockton; and while demand for places on campus is strong and growing, the University is committed to identifying potential students with the greatest merit and potential from all backgrounds. Access and Outreach It is planning to spend £10.9 million on financial support packages and access outreach activities in 2017/18 and is committed to increasing its outreach work and finding new ways to ensure the best and brightest potential students from all backgrounds apply to study at Durham. But the University's education offer goes well beyond its undergraduates and postgraduates. Last year nearly 300,000 people enjoyed its cultural programmes, spaced and collections. Museums and Attractions Its popular museums and attractions offer a huge range of educational, entertaining and fun activities to learners of all ages. Many activities are free or included in the admission charge.
