Commencement and Matriculation Ceremony
On Friday the 23rd of August the yearly Commencement and Matriculation Ceremony was held at Ghent University Global Campus to celebrate both graduating students and freshmen. Five years have passed since the establishment of the extended campus in South Korea. In those years the student population at Ghent University Global Campus has rapidly increased. We now count 435 bachelor level students, 21 doctoral students and the figures continue to rise. The Ghent University Global Campus journey is far from accomplished. Many ambitions remain to be fulfilled in the years to come. Rector Rik Van de Walle from the home campus in Ghent attended the meaningful ceremony and honorably participated in conferment of degree for the first GUGC graduates and badge ceremony for Fall semester freshmen.
