Grangetown World Market

Shoppers are invited to the vibrant streets of Grangetown for the community's first street market, thanks to Cardiff University's Community Gateway project working with Grangetown Community Action. Grangetown World Market, an idea developed from a local business forum , takes place at Lucknow Street on Saturday 22 July and aims to highlight all the area has to offer including food, clothes, crafts and music. The market is part of the wider Love Grangetown, Shop Grangetown project which promotes local independent businesses from the traditional high street outlet to those working from home and online. "..With more than 15 stalls already confirmed, it will be a great community occasion and a chance for local businesses, including new start-ups, to welcome people into the Grangetown shopping district." Among the stalls confirmed are local artisanal food and drink producers, arts and crafts traders, and sellers of fashion and beauty products. The Biggest Arabic Inspired Brand in the World. Bilal Anjum, a Cardiff University student who will be selling his One Unity Clothing brand at the market, said: "My aims are like other start-up brands, to be big as possible in terms of sales and exposure.
